Suspect Sought After Domestic Disturbance
On Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 6:40 a.m. the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1400 block of W. Evans Creek Road in Rogue River for a report of a physical domestic disturbance. While deputies were in Rogue River interviewing the witness, the suspect, Christopher Slover, 32, of Rogue River drove by in a silver pickup truck. Deputies immediately followed him back towards the residence when a short pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended quickly at the end of his driveway when the suspect crashed his vehicle on West Evans Creek Road and fled on foot.
Due to the nature of the call and the reported involvement of guns, the Jackson County SWAT team was called to assist. The residence of occurrence was cleared by JCSO SWAT and the suspect is still outstanding. A K-9 unit was also called to the scene to assist. Oregon State Police and Rogue River Police also assisted with the case.
Slover is described as being 6’01” tall, 180 pounds, dark hair and a thick beard. He currently has felony warrants for his arrest. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has probable cause to arrest for Attempt to Elude Police, Assault, and other additional charges.
