Tactical Operations Center Receives Dedication

Center will be dedicated to Kyron Horman

In 2013, there were 462,567 entries for missing children under the age of 18 into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center.   The Southern Oregon Regional Child Abduction Response Team (SO CART) is one of 20 nationally recognized teams in the nation, and the only team in Oregon.  In the event of a missing child, SO CART will play a major role in the investigation.

On Monday, October 13, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will dedicate its Tactical Operations Center to Kyron Horman and for missing children and programs like SO CART and Amber Alert.

In the event of a missing child in the southern Oregon region, the Tactical Operations Center will be manned and will function as a command center and also provide a call center for tips and information.

Join us as we make this commitment to the community and keeping kids safe.
