Teacher Arrested for Sexual Abuse
ROGUE RIVER – Detectives arrested a Rogue River High School teacher on Wednesday, June 15, after an investigation revealed he had a sexual relationship with a student. Jacob Vizcarra, 24, of Rogue River, was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of Sexual Abuse in the Second Degree, Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree, and Official Misconduct. Bail was set at $13,000.
School officials contacted deputies on June 7 with concerns of an inappropriate relationship between Vizcarra and a student. Details of the abuse and information about the victim’s identity will not be released.
