UPDATE: Homicide Suspect Located

At approximately 3:15 p.m. today, homicide suspect Wade Eugene Phillips was taken into custody without incident. Although it was believed initially that the suspect had fled the scene, deputies continued to search the residence. The suspect was found hiding in a corner of the attic.

Detectives from the Major Assault and Death Investigation Unit (MADIU) will continue to investigate the case. No further details are available at this time.  

Authorities had been searching for Wade Phillips since earlier this morning when he reportedly shot and killed a female at a residence in the 6000 block of Truax Road in Central Point.
