Woman Lodged in Shooting Death of Uncle

JACKSONVILLE – A Jacksonville woman is in the Jackson County Jail today on charges related to the shooting death of her uncle. Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed (AKA Tucker Reed), 26, of the 200-block of North 8th Street, was arrested on charges of first and second degree manslaughter. Moore-Reed will be arraigned in Circuit Court today at 1:30 pm.

Dispatch received a 911 call on July 26 at 3:40 pm from a home in the 7200-block of Thompson Creek Road. The residence is in the Applegate area, just inside the border with Josephine County. Deputies arrived to find a man deceased with an apparent gunshot wound. He was identified as Shane Patrick Moore, 63, a resident of that address.

Detectives with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Medford Police Department assumed the investigation. The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy today to confirm the cause and manner of death.

Anyone with information about the cases can call (541) 774-6800 and reference case 16-14751.
