Fire Danger Regulations - Low Level Effective June 1, 2023
Fire Season on lands protected by the Oregon Department of Forestry’s (ODF) Southwest Oregon District begins Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 12:01 a.m.
Property owners in Jackson County whose land has been newly classified as forestland within the current reclassification process will begin receiving notifications of their forest patrol assessment from the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) Southwest Oregon district this week.
Jackson County is updating its multi-jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (NHMP). As part of the update, the County will engage state and local leaders, along with other community members and stakeholders to help identify natural hazards and develop strategies to reduce the impacts of natural disasters.
Fire season is now in effect as of June 1, 2022. If you haven’t signed up for Jackson County Citizen Alert, now is the time!
